At the Orange County Guitar Museum, we believe music is meant to be lived, not just admired on the wall. While our collection tells the story of where music has been, our music lessons are all about where it’s going—starting with you.
Our lesson program is built for players of all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the very first time, returning after years away, or looking to sharpen your skills, our instructors meet you exactly where you are. Lessons are personal, encouraging, and focused on building confidence as much as technique.
Learning inside a working guitar museum is a unique experience. You’re surrounded by the instruments and stories that shaped music history, which adds a sense of inspiration to every note you play. Students often tell us that being in the museum makes lessons feel less like practice and more like being part of something bigger—a living tradition of music and creativity.
We offer instruction in guitar and other instruments, with an emphasis on fundamentals, rhythm, tone, and musical expression. For younger students, lessons are designed to be fun, engaging, and structured in a way that keeps curiosity alive. For adults, we focus on practical skills, favorite songs, and personal goals—no pressure, no intimidation.
Most of all, our lessons are about connection: connecting students to music, to their instruments, and to themselves. Progress looks different for everyone, and we celebrate each step forward, whether it’s your first chord, your first song, or your first time playing with others.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn music—or fall back in love with it—the Orange County Guitar Museum is a welcoming place to begin. The history is on the walls, the music is in the air, and the next chapter starts with you.
